On Saturday, August 1, the kids and I left New Jersey and drove down the Eastern Shore to Williamsburg. It was definitely the right call to avoid all the vacation traffic on 95. After getting through the beach traffic in Delaware and the first part of Maryland, the rest of the drive was beautiful and relaxed. We spent a week in Williamsburg. I didn't do a great job taking pictures, but we got a few. We visited with a number of old friends of mine. I hadn't seen several of them in a few years, so it was really nice. We met Grammy's new dog Lacey. She was a big hit with all of the kids.
We visited Mimi, and were treated to a fashion show by Max as well as stories about Jenny the house wren and her babies.

Of course, we had a wrestling match...
